We're very excited to host a little retreat at Agricola Le Moire for the first time !
We organized a 2 day relaxing expreience at the farm, with 2 super interesting knitting workshops held by our dear friend Filipa Carneriro, renowned designer from Lisbon. We'll have some great local food as usual, spend time knitting with the cashmere goats in the fields, visit our lab & yarn assortment, lounging together in a 2 days trip.
A small intro to Purl Inlay, Filipa's new book launching these days, that contains a shawl pattern with our yarn - AGUSTINA SHAWL:
"My adventure in this new technique started when I stumbled upon an old machine-knitting book that featured some curious and interesting patterns. I spent some time experimenting to recreate this machine knitting "weaving" technique by hand. Then I combined it with weaving principles to create beautiful motifs. In resume, the colorwork patterns are worked by weaving the new color into the fabric. Despite its intricate look, this technique is surprisingly simple to execute.

From 10.00 to 19.00 of Saturday and 9.00 to 15.00 on Sunday
What are we going to do?
SATURDAY
We'll start our day together with welcome refreshments and introduction to the weekend acrtivities.
Purl Inlay Workshop with Filipa will start around 11.00 and proceed until around 13.30
We'll then have a delightful lunch on the terrace, with some delicious local dishes.
Refilled with energies we'll dive into our studio to see where our beauties are prepared, to have a look and a touch, or more than one perhaps - we'll prepare a selection of all our yarns for the occasion and a special goodie bag .
With our knitting bags full of promises, we'll head to the pastures next to the farm and spend our afternoon knitting in peace among the cute goats, sipping tea and relaxing.
Dinner will take place at Poderi Zunino at 19.00, where we'll spend a relaxing and knitting time altogether.
SUNDAY
Our second day will start meeting at the farm around 9.00
Portuguese Knitting Workshop with Filipa will start straight after and proceed until around 13.00
We'll then have another delightful lunch on the terrace, with some delicious local dishes.
Once finished and after some knititng and chatting time together, it'll be time to say goodbye around 15.00
How much will this cost?
The event is priced 280,00 € per person and will comprise:
- Visit to the farm / Lanivendole lab
- 2 Lunches (Saturday and Sunday) + morning and afternoon refreshments

** PURL INLAY PROGRAM:
– introduction to purl inlay colorwork, how to handle the 2 colors;
– how to work the basic technique of purl inlay stitch using the 2 colors;
– how to read the purl colorwok charts;
– how to work the motifs, following the charts, knitting flat (in rows);
- cast on for the shawl and work the first increases
- How to work the purl inlay panel
Please bring your own needles and some yarn to practice with during both workshops, details about quantities and type will be given to attendees.
** We ask you to point out in the order notes your allergies/intolerances and diet requirements in order to be prepared and have an enjoyable meal.
** The event will take place with a minimum of 10 participants, and subscriptios will be fully refunded if the number is not reached.
** Cancellations are accepted only by email, and the rates will be fully refunded for messages received within 14 days from the purchase; after that date we won't be able to refund any subscription, but you may find a substitute to send in your place!
** A 100% deposit is required at the time of registration.
We reserve the right to cancel the event if there are circumstances beyond our control. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be issued.
** Due to the fact the there are a good bunch of dogs working and snoozing at the farm, we're sorry to ask you not to bring your own furry friends, even though all dogs will be safely guarded.
